During the meeting, the Chairman of the Committee on National Security and Defence Volodymyr Lytvyn noted that he patronizes not only the Committee issues, but also the issues of education, social security of citizens, and healthcare that, according to him, “are also the aspects of national security.”
In particular, people’s deputy stressed that developed by him bill on amendments to the Law “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2013” (Reg. No. 2412) was aimed at regulating critical situation of treatment of children and adults with ontological diseases.
Volodymyr Lytvyn drew attention of the participants to the necessity of regulating language issue in Ukraine. According to the people’s deputy, he submitted for consideration of Parliament the bill on the procedure of using languages in Ukraine (Reg. No. 1239). Adoption of this bill will create all necessary conditions for development, studying, and functioning of state language in all spheres of social life, and for using regional languages and minorities’ languages.
